Valentine’s Day in Santa Monica

Whether you are single or coupled up, there’s no better place to spend Valentine’s Day than Santa Monica. If you are in town for the February holiday, you will not have a problem finding entertainment and activities to help you celebrate. Keep reading for ideas of things to do and places to visit on Valentine’s Day in Santa Monica.

Go To A Local Park Or Botanical Garden

What better way to spend a February morning or afternoon than in one of Santa Monica’s beautiful parks or botanical gardens? Whether you are in the mood for the art in the park feel of the Getty Villa, activities and ocean views at the Palisades Park, or any other type of park experience, Santa Monica has you covered.

Downtown Santa Monica

Downtown Santa Monica is one of our favorite spots. Head to the Third Street Promenade for endless shopping, people watching, and street performances. If you are in the mood for pampering, you can take advantage of Valentine’s specials for singles and couples at the Burke Williams Spa.

Bergamot Station Art Center

There is something about Valentine’s Day that gets us in the mood for art, and there is something for everyone at the Bergamot Station Art Center. Bergamot Station is an internationally renowned creative arts complex. Whether you are just browsing or you are in the market to acquire some art, you will enjoy a stroll through some 20 fine art galleries and businesses in the area.

Visit The Santa Monica Pier

Valentine’s festivities start early at the Santa Monica Pier. On February 9th, you can catch a love-themed trapeze show at 7:00 p.m., and the best part is that it is free to attend! Between February 10th and 14th, the Pacific Wheel will shine with a light show displaying romantic messages, hearts, and kissing emojis.

On Valentine’s Day, violist Daniel Morris will play romantic live music from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. You can listen to his music while riding on the Pacific Wheel or anywhere else in the park. You may also want to walk over to the Magic of Love event in the historic merry-go-round. At 7:00 and 8:00, you can catch the magic show celebrating love and all of its magical moments.

Valentine’s Day At The Santa Monica Beach And Boardwalk

Santa Monica Beach and the boardwalk are right off the pier, where you can have fun in the sun, enjoy the beautiful sunset, and experience the vibrant nightlife on Valentine’s Day in Santa Monica. And speaking of the boardwalk, don’t forget to stop by Big Dean’s Ocean Front Café for lunch or dinner! Whether you are in the mood to celebrate love or you are just ready to celebrate the start of another weekend, pop in to enjoy our great food, beer, and wine in a relaxed and happy atmosphere.
